Homegrown featuring Michael de Jong is a deeply personal album recorded in Dordrecht, celebrating the legacy of blues singer Michael de Jong. Of partly Dutch origin, De Jong made his name in the United States as a sideman and accompanist to several blues legends before returning to the Netherlands. He spent his final twenty years in his beloved city of Dordrecht, where he found well-deserved peace. Michael de Jong passed away in 2018 at the age of 73. This album, produced in Dordrecht, captures the raw, authentic spirit of a true bluesman.
