Rheintraum

Rheintraum is a Dutch duo that channels the spirit of German krautrock pioneers into something entirely their own. Inspired by Cluster, NEU!, Kraftwerk and Harmonia, drummer Phil Martin and guitarist Tim den Heijer create hypnotic instrumental music built on motorik rhythms, analog experimentation and cinematic atmospheres.

Their album Radiophysik sounds like a transmission from a parallel past - dusty radio towers, flickering dials and analog ghosts. Recorded live with overdubs and shaped by meticulous editing, the music unfolds patiently, blending industrial textures with cosmic drift and moments of unexpected melody. There are no scripts, no pre-written compositions - just two musicians with a shared obsession for 1970s experimental underground rock, playing spontaneously and sculpting the results.
