ZsaBep appeared out of nowhere in 1999 as a studio experiment between vocalist and guitarist Ron Smith, bassist Ton van der Kolk and drummer Timothy van der Holst. What started as a creative playground quickly became something more - an eclectic collision of pop songwriting, twangy guitars, funky beats and whatever strange sounds the trio could get their hands on.

Despite the heavy use of loops, samples and programming, ZsaBep is emphatically not an electronic act. At its core, this is a guitar-bass-drums band that uses technology to sharpen its attack rather than replace it. The songs are layered and unpredictable, revealing new details with every listen - music for anyone willing to get lost in a world of unexpected sounds.
