AIFF

AIFF (Afro Influenced Funk Federation) is a Dutch afro-funk collective founded by DJ/drummer/producer Phil Martin and DJ/bassist Ton van der Kolk. Since their debut vinyl "Akwaaba / Watergirls" in 2006 and the album "Afro Soul System" in 2007, AIFF has been blending afrobeat, deep funk, soul, jazz and high-life into a hypnotic, danceable sound inspired by the likes of Fela Kuti. The live band features a powerful horn section with Marco Hijl, Cees Trappenburg and Peter Broekhuizen, alongside Crucial T. on guitar and toasting, and Rob Geboers on keyboards. Their music has gained international recognition from DJs worldwide and even mod-icon Paul Weller. AIFF is released on Social Beats Records.
