Dawn Patrol

Social Beats

Dawn Patrol emerged during the Covid lockdowns from the studio of drummer and producer Phil Martin (Timothy van der Holst). Having already collaborated with vocalist Lo van Gorp (known from the Metropole Orkest) on the yacht rock-inspired Martin & Garp project, Martin was ready for something new. When bassist Rik van der Ouw and guitarist Ruud van Halder - both from jazz fusion outfit Marutyri - came on board, the chemistry was instant. Singer-songwriter Baer Traa completed the line-up, and Dawn Patrol was born.

Their debut album Bring On the Good Times has been released worldwide to an enthusiastic reception, with particular interest coming from Japan. Drawing inspiration from Steely Dan, Daryl Hall & John Oates and label-mates Young Gun Silver Fox, Dawn Patrol delivers smooth, groove-laden songs carried by three distinctive vocalists and rich harmonies.

Line-up: Lo van Gorp (vocals, saxophone), Baer Traa (guitar, vocals), Ruud van Halder (guitar, vocals), Phil Martin (drums), Rik van der Ouw (bass, vocals) and Matthijs Geerts (keys).
