Randy's Boogie Squad

Randy's Boogie Squad couldn't care less about contemporary trends. Instead, they channel the spirit of Jimmy Reed, BB King, Ray Charles and Elvis Presley, mixing it with touches of Los Lobos, Dr. John and Ry Cooder and a healthy dose of their own creativity. The result is one of the most compelling blues acts to come out of the Netherlands.

Rather than flashy solos, the band focuses on atmosphere - intimate, raw and always swinging. Frontman Randy Derkhof wins over audiences instantly with his bluesy soul voice and biting guitar work, while guitarist Tommy Punt, harmonica player Kees Elsman, bassist Ton van der Kolk and drummer Timothy van der Holst lock into grooves that refuse to let go.
