The Jazzinvaders

Social Beats

The Jazzinvaders have spent over fifteen years presenting jazz their own way - two steps back and three steps forward. By starting every track with a groove, this Dutch collective takes listeners on journeys that are familiar yet entirely unpredictable.

A career highlight came when drummer and bandleader Phil Martin teamed up with Azymuth's Alex Malheiros and Ivan Conti Mamao. New material was written on the spot, Azymuth classics were given the Jazzinvaders treatment, and the album Last Summer in Rio was born - a spontaneous, joyful record sweetened by guest vocals from Lilian Vieira of Zuco 103.

The band's distinctive sound has taken them to festivals and clubs across Europe and Japan, building a loyal following along the way. Whether on record or on stage, The Jazzinvaders deliver jazz with groove, soul and a sense of adventure.
